Traditional Thai Massage
(Thai Yoga Massage)
“It far exceeded my expectations and left me with a real glow that lasted the evening. The effort Nemia went to to make the session warm, calm and relaxing really enhanced the experience.”

What should I expect during a treatment?
First appointments include a 20-30 minute consultation to give me a full picture of where you are at, presently, and any health or wellbeing concerns can be discussed. Follow-up treatments include a short catch-up about areas you’d like to focus on during the session.
You are invited to come in loose or stretchy comfortable clothing and an extra layer. If you have any mobility issues, some elements of Thai Yoga Massage can be offered whilst seated in a chair as needed - please telephone to discuss your needs prior to booking.
Starting with your feet and working upwards through the body Thai Yoga Massage is experienced through a mix of acupressure (as you might in a classic holistic massage), gentle twists and more dynamic stretches.
Meanwhile you are encouraged to use your breath to release deeply held muscular and emotional tensions, restore balance and alignment to the body and find a greater sense of wellbeing. It can feel quite ‘deep’ but never painful.
Some describe it as someone ‘doing yoga to you’ but you get to relax and be passive on the mat throughout, resting warm under blankets. You will be supported by cushions and bolsters where needed to ensure the most comfort and to assist you in fully letting go.
Normally clients leave a treatment feeling an inch taller and a whole lot calmer; stretched and rejuvenated. Unfurled from any tightness and tension in the physical body, coupled with an easing of any lingering stress and anxiety in the mind.
You will find space, both physically and emotionally, to breathe more deeply.
“Nemia massaged me regularly during a time of work pressures and acute emotional stress. I was suffering from IBS and anxiety. The accumulative touch and care she gave me was exceptional. Our times were not talky, it was purely body and energetic work. The massage gave me real time to relax. The regularity enabled me to heal over time. She took me on a slow journey of trusting and kindness, which she emulated herself.”
